Today is the day of trying out transplanting with the gel by collecting species that are on the list(should be able to grow on concrete).......

I spent the day hunting down everything from ferns to succulents with the help of my happy volunteers (also known as my family).

well well what do we have here:

The first plant loot

So how does transplanting work?

First the samples are taken from the host plant making sure to take a key stem of the plant.
The plant then needs to be cut with a sharp clean knife at an angle then scraping off the outside of the stem to expose the green flesh within.

The samples were then planted in the gel and the waiting game begins...…

This is where writing is happening today.....

The supplies for my garden office - hydration is key, hence the coconut water.

The office desk - feeling at one with the chickens
